My UGA-Griffin Experience On Tuesday, October 22nd, I had the pleasure of spending the day at UGA-Griffin for a job shadow experience. I spent most of the day as a student in Dr. Perry Buffington's Developmental Psychology class meets that day from 9:30am-10:45am in the Student Learning Center, room 216 and Dr. Tom Bramorski's Principles of Marketing class meeting that day from 2pm-3:15 in the Student Learning Center, room 218. I was excited to speak with both professors about trends in business and psychology. The psychology lesson dealt with the development of children physically and mentally in from pregnancy and discussions on types of neurodevelopmental disorders that occur as a result in fetal development causing autism, lack of bone growth, etc. In Dr. Bramorski's marketing class, we learned about Marketing Trends and methods used to attract modern audiences. I also had the pleasure of participating in a Consumer Economics/Financial Planning- Lunch and Learn for Advisors and Nominating Professionals atthe UGA Griffin Campus. We shared ideas to create a Career Fair to get more students interested in the financial academic program for both high school and existing college students for this campus with a concentration for minorities including women and diverse individuals from all backgrounds. The Career Fair will take place in February. The Professionals participating were from education and local businesses. Sharonda Bostic, Lamar County High School, Oct. 2019
